Are you going for an endermologie session and wondering what to wear? In salons, you often hear terms like: costume, bodysuit, treatment suit… But what is the actual difference? Can you wear leggings, or do you have to buy a special suit?

Costume vs. Bodysuit – the differences

In fact, the suit, costume, and bodysuit for endermologie are essentially the same thing – a thin, elastic garment that protects the skin and makes it easier for the device head to slide during the treatment. The differences lie mainly in the naming and the type of material:

    • Costume – a general term for a special endermologie outfit.
    • Bodysuit – a fitted, usually one-piece outfit, available in disposable or reusable versions.

Can you wear your own leggings? In some salons yes, but most require a dedicated bodysuit – it ensures the best results and greater comfort.

What types of endermologie costumes are there?

An endermologie costume is a thin, elastic outfit that provides better glide for the device head. We can distinguish:

    • Disposable bodysuits – lightweight, intended for single use.
    • Reusable bodysuits – made of durable fabric that fits like a second skin.
    • Treatment leggings and T-shirts – some salons allow your own thin, seamless leggings and a fitted top.

How many types of suits are there?

Suits differ mainly in material and purpose:

    • Classic elastic suits – the most common, made of thin, well-fitting fabric.
    • Models with reinforcements – thicker panels in areas requiring more intensive stimulation.
    • Disposable mesh suits – light and breathable, ideal if you don’t want to buy your own.

Can endermologie be performed without a suit?

It depends on the salon! Some places allow endermologie directly on the skin with special heads. However, in most cases, a suit is mandatory to protect the skin and increase effectiveness.
